CII Kaizen Competition: TDK India honored for 5S excellence

TDK India’s team from the Nashik plant won both the 5S Excellence Award and the Consistency Award at the Confederation of Indian Industry’s annual Kaizen Competition.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) presented TDK India’s team from the Nashik plant with both the 5S Excellence Award and the Consistency Award at the annual Kaizen Competition. The CII aims to help companies introduce and implement the 5S principles. The Nashik team won the 5S Excellence Award in the Large Corporates category. 5S is a workplace organization method based on the five principles of sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain. The CII awards are presented based on a structured selection process involving various evaluations and on-site visits.

The Nashik plant also won a prize for its continuous commitment to improving quality. Having already won first prize last year, the team this year walked away with the Consistency Award, as well. The award recognizes the company’s consistent efforts to drive a culture of excellence and greater employee engagement.
