3.1 Use of the information on the website
When you only use the information on the website, i.e., do not log in to use the website, register, or transmit any other information, the Operator does not collect any personal data. An exception is the data that your browser transmits in order to enable you to visit the website. This includes:

- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

- Access status/HTTP status code
- Amount of data transmitted

This data is stored for a limited time in the form of log files in order to be able to analyze and resolve potential technical problems. The Operator has no influence at all on this process. Apart from these technical inevitabilities, the Operator of this website does not transmit any personal data to countries outside of the scope of the EU General Data Protection Regulation or to countries without an adequate level of data protection.
In addition to using the information provided on the website, various services are provided that you can make use of if you are interested. For these, you must generally enter additional personal data that is required to provide the particular service. The Operator will not disclose the data provided to third parties or third countries/non-member states.
3.2 Contact forms
The website uses various forms (e.g., for registration, contact, ordering, or newsletter functions). If the user decides to make available to the Operator information such as company name, department, address, email address, etc., the Operator can store and evaluate this data. In addition, the Operator can forward this data to its subsidiaries, distribution companies authorized by the Operator, or other contractual partners for maintaining the customer relationship, in particular for information about the range of the Operator’s products. 3.3 UPtoDATE Newsletter
If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, the Operator will require from you a customer number, a customer login, your email address as well as information that allows the Operator to check that you are the owner of the email address provided and agree to receive the newsletter. The Operator will further require information about what you are interested in and your name and the name of your company. If you would like to receive information additionally by mail (optional), the Operator will require for this purpose your information about your mailing address.
All data collected will be used solely for sending the requested information.
Any user who subscribes to the UPtoDATE Newsletter can log in into their account with their individual username and password and edit their personal settings or unsubscribe from the UPtoDATE Newsletter in the customer area. You can revoke at any time your given consent for storing your data and email address as well as their use for sending the newsletter, for example, via the link at the end of every newsletter edition.
When you revoke a use that you have agreed to, all of the stored data pertaining to that use will be deleted.
3.4 Press Newsletter
The option is offered to representatives of the media to register for a subscription to a press newsletter. The Press Newsletter is a service of TDK and offers representatives of the media who have a legitimate interest in the ability to receive information from TDK. TDK reserves the right to turn down interested parties without giving reasons or to delete subscribers from the mailing list. The stored data exclusively serves this intended use and for making contact and requires an explicit consent for storage. The storage and processing of the data take place at the Operator’s service provider.
Any user who would like to edit their personal settings, unsubscribe to the Press Newsletter, or revoke storage of the data can log in into their account for these purposes via the link at the end of each Press Newsletter. Alternatively, it is also possible to revoke the receipt of the newsletter and consent for storage of the data by using the contact address press.release(at)tdk-electronics.tdk.com.
4. Disclosure and international connection
The Operator is the recipient of personal data for processing. The disclosure within the distribution companies authorized by the Operator or other contractual partners of the Operator will be made for internal administrative purposes of centralized customer support and order processing. The Operator ensures the security of the data processing by means of internal guidelines.
5. Analysis services
For the analysis of the use of the website, the Operator uses the analysis tools of third parties, in particular, Webtrends Analytics (“Tool Provider”). The Operator assumes no responsibility or liability for any data processing by the Tool Provider.
5.3 Webtrends
Webtrends Analytics of Webtrends Inc. (“Webtrends”) uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie by visiting this website is normally transmitted to one of Webtrends’ servers in the U.S. and stored there. The IP address of the user is shortened directly on the user’s computer. The transmission to Webtrends of the IP address and storage there is carried out in anonymized form. On behalf of the Operator, Webtrends uses this information to analyze usage of the website, compile reports about website activities, and provide additional services connected with the use of the website and Internet. Neither the operator nor Webtrends will associate any data collected with other data that is stored by Webtrends or the Operator.
The storage of cookies can be prevented by a corresponding setting of the browser software. The Operator would like to point out, however, that in this case not all the functions of this website may be able to be fully used.
